Peggy’s Point Lighthouse
Peggy’s Point Lighthouse is one of Nova Scotia’s most well-known lighthouses and may be the most photographed in Canada. Located in the quaint fishing village of Peggy’s Cove along the South Shore, Peggy’s Point Lighthouse was built in 1915. Spend the day watching the waves and exploring around the rocks.

Join a walking tour at Peggy’s Cove and venture through a landscape transformed some 12,000 years ago by glaciers. While hiking through the coastal barrens, learn about the unique vegetation and the wildlife that calls the barrens their home. Keep your camera handy as you never know when you may spot a whale or seals playing just off the coast.
Bluff Wilderness Trail
If walking on the golf course isn’t enough, try one of many local trails such as the Bluff Wilderness Trail. The trail passes through several landscape types, including patches of deciduous woodland fens, and open granite barrens. The trail moves generally along high ground, affording frequent stunningly beautiful vistas of the surrounding wilderness and lakes.
